The Epic of Gilgamesh is certainly not the only story to feature a flood and the theme reflects our culture as a society and its past. It connects all sorts of cultures together; we notice the similarities in interpretations and shows that despite our ethnic differences we still face similar challenges. The Epic of Gilgamesh illustrates how the people viewed the flood and interpreted the act as an act of the gods, similar to how the bible depicted the flood. This ancient text proves that humanity was and is all the same. In this context, comparative to all other historic texts, humanity is all the same and no different from other races.
